The inLab MC XL milling and grinding unit opens up the widest possible range of production options for your dental laboratory. You profit from high speed 
and precision. You can switch from grinding to milling in just a few simple steps. And thanks to the large milling volume and broad spectrum of applications,

    Processing of zirconium oxide, resin, silicate ceramics and NP-metal

    For example, a four-unit zirconium oxide bridge can be completed in just 40 minutes

The heart of the inLab system: with the new inLab 4.2 software you can manage your entire digital fabrication process and reap many benefits.

The inLab software supports you during all your work steps – from scanning and importing digital impressions to the design and milling of restorations
and models. Thanks to the virtual articulation function and the initial biogeneric suggestion, you are in a position to create fully anatomical restorations
easily and reliably. Custom abutments, bars and attachments can be designed just as rapidly as millable pin models.

Seamless, user-friendly workflow


Scanning, designing and milling – the new inLab SW 4.2 software unites all the processing steps within a single program.
inLab SW 4.2 interworks seamlessly the inEos scanners and the inLab MC XL milling unit – and also allows you to import
and process digital impressions.

Biogeneric for inLab

The inLab SW 4.2 software includes the unique Biogeneric design tool, which enables you to reconstruct natural occlusal surfaces
for a complete range of restorations (inlays, onlays, veneers, partial/full crowns, full contour crowns) with just a few mouse clicks.
Biogeneric analyzes the remaining tooth surfaces as a basis for computing the patient-specific occlusal morphology. This eliminates
the time-consuming adaptation of standard teeth and leads to more reliable and natural results.

Custom implant abutments


You can exploit the proven CAD/CAM capabilities of the inLab system to create tooth-coloured zirconium oxide abutments that are tailored to
the patient’s individual requirements. The inLab 4.0 software delivers the highest levels of reliability and flexibility.

Reliable detection of implant situation

Accurate acquisition of the implant situation (including additional information about the gingiva) with the aid of the inEos X5 or inEos Blue scanner and the inLab SW 4.2.

Axis orientation of the restoration

Optimum alignment of the restoration in relation to the implant axis. Colour-coded warning system if the minimum requirements are not fulfilled.

Abutment design

Abutment design using the direct method or top-down method (reduction of a fully anatomical restoration on an abutment or telescope).


In the Multilayer mode you can design full contour crowns and bridges in a single operation.

The benefits:
  • Time savings: the framework and veneering structure are designed in a single step
  • Fewer errors: milling instead of overpressing and layering
  • Aesthetic advantages compared with overpressing: the veneer material (e.g. Sirona or VITA ) creates a typical shading transition from
    occlusal (transparent) towards cervical (more chroma)
  • The inLab MC XL milling unit is unique in that it supports the in-house fabrication of veneer ceramics as a cost-effective alternative to
    conventional metal-ceramic restorations
  • Unique biogeneric design of the veneering structure
  • Added convenience, thanks to the adhesive bonding of the veneering structures (Sirona and VITA) or fusion glass bonding (Ivoclar)

Multilayer materials

How Multilayer functions:

The crown or bridge is designed in accordance with the fully anatomical dimensions and then divided into two sets of data – for the framework and
the veneering structure respectively. The two components are free of undercuts – i.e. the facings fit directly onto the framework. Two sets of milling
data are then generated.

The bridge and veneer facings are bonded to each other. Please observe the relevant processing instructions.
